Ma Tse Hin (b.1960) grew up in Guandong and had intermittent contact with painters while working in an agriculture/forestry commune. In 1985 he went to Paris as an art student. He worked in many genres until 1998 since when he has created artwork, which expresses the Buddha for the modern world. This volume with trilingual commentary in English, French and Chinese, presents 200 paintings of the Buddha created 1999-2002 and a selection of Ma's earlier works.
