This is a historico-architectural illustrated study of vintage houses of several traditions and in different state of repair on the island of Bohol, Central Philippines. Some 500 homes form the basis of the study. Part 1 looks at the methodology and data of the architectural survey and factors governing the nature and distribution of Boholano houses since the early 19th century. Part 2 features 300 of the 508 houses identified, with inset colour photographs, construction details, and relevant social profiles. With glossary, bibliography and index.
