Concerted geoheritage conservation effort in Malaysia has started soon after the inception of the Malaysian Geological Heritage Group in 1996. This book compiles some selected papers that resulted from more than a decade's research work on geoheritage resources in Malaysia and which were previously published in the Geological Heritage Book series. The 43 papers presented here are wide-ranging and multidisciplinary in nature and include studies on: specific sites, conservation geology, the value of natural heritage, and conservation initiatives.
