More than 200 paintings adorn the walls of the Siloam Gleneagles Hospital at Lippo Karawaci in Jakarta. The paintings include works dating from the "Beautiful Indies" period of Indonesian art history. Although most of the works on display represent the accomplishment of Indonesian artists, the collections include a number of paintings by painters from other countries. While the paintings aesthetically decorate the spaces of hospital, they also provide psychological remedy to the patients being treated there and their families.
