In 1839, James Brooke became Sarawak first White Rajah. This book is an account of his battles with a Skrang chef named Libau, whose Praise Name was Rentap - Earth Tremor. Overwhelmed by Brooke's superior weaponry, Rentap and his followers retreated to a remote Skrang mountains, where he established a well-fortified stockade on the saddle of the 3,000ft Bukit Sadok. Over a period of five years, Sadok became a symbol of resistance of the Sea Dayaks. With endnotes and bibliography.
