This is Volume 16, the final volume of the Encyclopedia of Malaysia. Twenty-three local and international scholars have contributed to the major resource on the Rulers in Malaysia which is introduced by a tabulated chronology of the origins of the Sultanates. Set out with over 10,000 inset photographs and archival illustrations the entries include historical and contemporary information on the ruling houses and local and national events in which they have been involved. There is also discussion of the roles played by the Rulers, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Conference of Rulers originally established in 1948. With bibliography, glossary and index.
