A comparative study of a traditional village crafts in Japan and Nepal, countries far apart but linked by traditional trading routes.  The techniques and esthetics of paper making, pottery, textile, dyeing, bamboo ware, metal work and other crafts are set out and illustrated by 150 color photographs.
