The widely-travelled Philippine-born Pacita Abad is notable for her vivid art in several media.  She has drawn inspiration from a rare cultural diversity - Mexico, Cambodia, Turkey, the US, etc., and has now incorporated designs and figures from the  traditional Javanese Wayang in a porcelain dinner set - and yes, it is microwave  and dishwasher safe!
