This study of the widely exhibited art of Balinese Made Wianta (b. 1949) is by a US writer and art critic who visited Bali in 2003, after the Kuta tragedy. Black and white photographs and a travelogue introduce aspects of the island's culture and terrain. Wianta's innovative drawings and calligraphy are discussed and presented in 60 colour plates.
