Wong Keen was born in Singapore in 1942. The artist grew up in Singapore, where Chen Wen Hsi was his mentor. Wong then moved to New York before eventually returning to Singapore. Exposed to both Eastern and Western philosophies, he brings together Chinese and Abstract Expressionist traditions in his art. This book was published to accompany a showing of some of his works executed in the 1960s and some 30 years later in the 1990s.
